Training for Lithuanian researchers
CCG, in collaboration with the Lithuanian Research Council, organised a 2-Part workshop programme to equip university staff and researchers with the necessary EU funding knowledge and skills. By enhancing their capacity in this area, Lithuanian universities are now better positioned to compete for and secure EU funding, leading to increased research and innovation activities within the country. The main aims of the workshop were: (1) To understand the mechanisms and principles related to EU funding. (2) To set up an effective schedule for drafting a proposal within a given deadline. (3) To identify possible sources of funding to match a concept idea and build solid partnerships. (4) To draft competitive proposals to be funded by the EU. (5) To develop an efficient strategy, in which potential EU funding is an integral part of the overall business development strategy of the organisation/institution.
The workshops took place in February 2024, and there were 120+ participants.
As a follow up to the above-mentioned workshops, the Lithuanian Research Council commissioned CCG to deliver a bespoke training for the National Contact Points for the Digital Europe programme in Lithuania.
A similar training was delivered for Latvian researchers, with the support of the Latvian Council of Science, on 19th of March 2024.
Training for Ukrainian researchers
CCG has been delivering a Grant Writing and Implementation crash course for Ukrainian universities since late 2022. Given the European Commission`s decision to invite Ukrainian universities to apply for EU funding, CCG decided to support Ukrainian researchers in their efforts to join EU consortia and participate in EU funded projects. The course is structured through 4 online workshops, followed by intense one-to-one sessions with the participants, and individual work.
CCG has already organised 4 series of this course over the past 18 months with a total of 200+ participants.

The workshop lasted for 90 minutes and consisted of a presentation, opportunities for discussion, case studies, and links to online resources.
Main Objectives of the Programme: (1) Capacity Building: Enhance the knowledge and skills of university staff and researchers in understanding funding opportunities, application processes, and project management. (2) Proposal Development: Provide training on developing competitive project proposals that align with EU funding priorities and requirements.
