Donna Hooker is a career international education profession with a passion for:

Donna has worked in the international education field for 30+ years. She recently established TAM Global Ed, a consulting firm focussed on supporting the international initiatives of institutions and service providers. Current projects include faculty development, school purchase negotiations and ownership transition, articulation agreements, program licensing agreements and strategic partnerships.

Donna spent nearly two years in the private sector as a service provider to support institutions international recruitment efforts after 30 plus years in the public post secondary education systems in British Columbia, Canada and worldwide.  Donna’s broad international experience includes roles as Director, Centre for International Experience (Capilano University); Director, VCC International (Vancouver Community College); and multiple roles related to the Registrar’s Office, Human Resources and International Education services, marketing and recruitment (BC Institute of Technology).

As an academic Donna spent three years as the interim Dean of Business (Vancouver Community College) as an additional responsibility to her role as Director, VCC International.  Donna has also taught business courses at BCIT since 2001 and at FH-Wiens in Vienna Austria since 2016).

Donna received the “Friends of BCCIE” award in 2010 for her contribution as an active member, membership chair followed by Board Member and Board Chair for multiple years.
